The Jack is one of the
most intense and sickest bands in the north New Jersey jam band scene. Put together in Northern New Jersey by guitarist Gary
Gallagher and his childhood friends. The group’s bassist Adam Riley, drummer Alzie Sisco and keyboardist Squigs are
the driving core force of the band. Constantly experimenting and growing in sound, thanks in part to the lyrics, vocals and
the unique style of guitarist Kurt Balchan, the band has had the opportunity to share the bills with such acts as moe., Robert
Randolph, Melvin Seals and the Roots to name a few. The Jack is readying a new release in early 2011, shortly after solidifying
this lineup to it's current state. And the state is good. Very, very good.
“The Jack is the classic underground underdog that has
taken many concert-goers by storm. Nobody leaves a Jack show without feeling like you experienced something special."-
Arts Weekly Magazine
“The Jack is one of the most innovative bands on the jam band scene today. There are many groups
that call themselves jam bands, but these guys are true musicians who know what jamming really is. "- Hittin the Note

“One thing always sticks out with this band is song content, out of all the Jam Bands on the scene
The Jack is able to write good songs with interesting and heartfelt lyrics.” – JCRMusic
